He's a PhD candidate in York University's Faculty of Education, with a focus on digital and pervasive games in educational environments. He designed The Ward Game, a 30-day pervasive game to teach One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and co-designed Blind Protocol, an inter-school Alternate Reality Game (ARG) that instructs on online privacy and surveillance. Paul is co-director of the Toronto Student Film Festival, a member of the Learning and Educational Game SIG, and on the advisory board for GameTrain Learning, an NGO that helps schools integrate game-based learning.
